I have always appreciated the way you have been thoughtful in your approach to your clinical work and interactions with families. Additionally, it was a pleasure to discuss your cases as they came into our clinic for further assessment. You were able to help us better understand the child in the context of their culture and actively participated in discussions related to potential diagnoses and recommendations. These assessments were often long and difficult for the families we serve and your support of, and genuine care for, the families really did make a big impact.
Having attending professional ADOS trainings with you in San Francisco and numerous consultations with you as part of our professional duties, I recognized the level of professionalism and passion you bring to your work. Your caring nature and ability to connect with others is a strong indicator that you are a healer and have found the correct field to be in. Many families and children will benefit from your clinical expertise, enthusiasm, and support.

Lucia Hernandez-Ulloa CA Licensed Occupational Therapist
My name is Lucia Hernandez-Ulloa, MS, OTR/L, and I am a licensed and registered Occupational Therapist, who has had the pleasure of working alongside, Mimi Thuong, LMFT, as a coworker, employee, and friend.
When I came on board as a Developmental Specialist, I learned a lot from Mimi and her experience working with our population of young children ages 0-5. I got to see her passion in wanting to help children work out their needs while coaching their parents and extended family members as well. She mentored me, providing me with background and education in how to work with the unique and sensitive population we had. Our cases included children and families that had been exposed to trauma and neglect, as well as immigrant families, learning how to navigate mental health and special education systems. Mimi provided me with the tools and guidance on how to offer age appropriate interventions, guidance and support, considerate of what the child and families have been through.
As a manager, Mimi continued providing me with guidance in working with our multicultural population of children facing not only mental health challenges, but developmental challenges as well. We collaborated using a multidisciplinary approach with our different scopes of practice to best support children that may have also had co-morbidities of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Global Developmental Delays, Sensory processing disorders, and even speech delays. And we also came up with problem-solving to best support challenges that neither one could face alone.
Mimi has always been caring and passionate about working with children and their families and I am thankful to call her a colleague and friend. Without her, I would not have gained so much wealth in knowledge, and I know anyone who has the opportunity to work with her will see her drive and compassion that she shows to all persons alike.
Cynthia Perez CA Registered Associated Social Worker
Working with the 0-5 population, Mimi not only provided direct services to clients and their families by offering tools and evidence-based interventions to help navigate from everyday scenarios to traumatic experiences, but she also utilized her knowledge and expertise to provide support and growth through Clinical Supervision. Her calm demeanor, collaborative approach, and compassion all contribute to her ability to build rapport with her clients, community, and supervisees.
I received profound coaching and support from Mimi when working with children who were experiencing various symptoms and behaviors from Anxiety, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity-Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Mimi supported me in strengthening my therapeutic interventions that were being implemented during sessions, which included Floor time, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
As a Clinical Supervisor, Mimi not only reviewed cases for the diagnosis and treatment, and discussed ethical and legal particulars, she utilized reflective supervision to empower staff to assess our own work and implications to inspire professional growth and development.
